Hace 3 días · In 1965, Vliet signed a contract with A&M Records under the name Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band (Barnes, 2000, 17). After achieving little under this arrangement, the band signed with Bob Krasnow’s Buddah label, and in 1968 their debut album, Safe as Milk , appeared (Barnes, 2000 , 30).
