Roedean has grown to become competitive and successful in sports. We compete in tournaments across 14 different sports – that’s approximately 600 fixtures a year – and our results are outstanding.

Sport is an integral part of teaching and learning at Roedean School and the sporting activities on offer address the active needs of each child, as well as provide a foundation for future excellence. Sport exercises each student’s faculties in the physical, cognitive and emotional realms.
Roedean has an indoor gymnasium with an impressive climbing wall. The facility is used for Physical Education classes, indoor hockey and netball, mini tennis, yoga, RAG, stretching, strength and conditioning, and wellness sessions. The centre also hosts the Sports Hub which provides the athletes and staff with an excellent fitness experience.
Roedean’s sports facilities are of the highest calibre and we take pride in achieving excellence through sport. The school is privileged to have two swimming pools. Rebuilt in 2010, the main swimming pool is a beautiful 10-lane, 25m pool with three diving boards: a 1/2 metre, one metre and a three-metre board.
The school incorporates dance studios, music classrooms, a 320-seat theatre, a heated indoor swimming pool, a golf course, a private tunnel to the beach, a farm and a chapel, as well as a range of workshops, studios, laboratories and sports pitches. It is also well-provisioned with a variety of classrooms.
