Peggy was a part of Ram Dass’s psychedelic adventures at Millbrook—the estate that her family rented to Ram Dass, Tim Leary and the gang for $1 a year. Up until the very end, Peggy visited Ram Dass twice a year on Maui, beaming light and love into Ram Dass’s life.

Through his experimentation he became a spiritual person, and sought to explore that by going to India and learning from a guru. He has become a spiritual teacher who shares his wisdom to help others.

Together with Richard Alpert, Leary included a close circle of volunteer graduate students in his project.
