It is a track from their album “Paradise Found,” which was released in 2007. As a fan of folk music, this song has always resonated with me for its deep emotional impact and thought-provoking lyrics.

Maddy Prior sang I Sall Goe Until a Hare as part of her song cycle The Fabled Hare on her 1993 album Year. Fay Hield sang the Hare Spell in 2020 on her Topic album Wrackline. She noted: Taken from Isobel Gowdie’s witch trial confessions of 1622 where she shares this spell to become a hare.

The line-up for the three-day festival from Friday, July 26 to Sunday, July 28 includes former Steeleye Span singer Maddy Prior, who gained fame with the group’s 1976 hit ‘All Around My Hat’.
