Robert James Smith (born 21 April 1959) is an English musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, and the co-founder, lead vocalist, guitarist, primary songwriter, and only continuous member of the Cure, an alternative rock band formed in 1978.
The Cure have released 13 studio albums, two EPs, and over 30 singles, and have sold over 30 million albums worldwide. [5] Their most recent album, 4:13 Dream, was released in 2008. The Cure were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.
