Fu Mingxia (born August 16, 1978, in Wuhan, Hubei) is a retired Chinese diver, multiple Olympic gold medalist and world champion. She won the platform-diving world championship in 1991 at the age of 12, making her the youngest diving champ of all time.

26 de abr. de 2024 · Fu Mingxia (born August 16, 1978, Wuhan, Hubei province, China) is a Chinese diver, who was a standout on the Chinese diving teams that dominated the sport in the 1990s. She became the second youngest gold medalist in Olympic history in 1992. Fu entered the state-sponsored diving program in Beijing at age nine.

Biography. The first sport practised by Mingxia Fu was gymnastics. At the age of nine, she turned to diving, and in 1991, aged 12, became the youngest world champion in history. Gold from the age of 14. In 1992, for the Olympic Games in Barcelona, the Chinese youngster was entered for the 10m platform event.
