Peter Lorrimer Whitehead (8 January 1937 – 10 June 2019) was an English writer and filmmaker who documented the counterculture in London and New York in the late 1960s.

He was born in Menston, Yorkshire and was killed in an accident at Lasalle, France, during the Tour de France endurance race.
