  1. Profile: Composer, lyricist, arranger and orchestrator. Born in Chadderton, Oldham on April 15th, 1947, and went to school at North Chadderton Secondary Modern. Founder member of Barclay James Harvest in 1967, and remained with the band until 1979.

  2. Wolstenholme – whose mellotron playing was a trademark of the band's sound in the 1970sleft in 1979 after the album XII (1978), as he began to suffer from clinical depression. He pursued a short solo career fronting the band Maestoso, before retiring from the music industry to farm.

  3. Maestoso is Woolly Wolstenholme's first solo album, released just after he had left Barclay James Harvest. In many ways Woolly was the most progressively inclined member of that band and when he left they soon drifted towards more commercial territory (but then again, so did most bands in the 80's).
