Joshua Ryan Freese (born December 25, 1972) is an American drummer. A member of punk rock band the Vandals since 1989, Freese has also been a member of new wave band Devo since 1996 [1] and rock band Foo Fighters since 2023.

Josh Freese is a former drummer for Guns N' Roses who replaced Matt Sorum in 1997. In his three years with the band, he helped record " Oh My God " and helped write the track " Chinese Democracy ", although his parts were eventually recorded over by Bryan Mantia and Frank Ferrer .
