Talk Talk. Spirit of Eden is one of the most powerful and singular experiences in modern music. Released in 1988, written by singer Mark Hollis and producer-multi-instrumentalist Tim Friese-Greene, and performed as improvisations with several outside musicians, then digitally edited into place, the album is quite simply a masterpiece.

11 de feb. de 2007 · I'm sitting here listening to Talk Talk's "Spirit Of Eden" and I have to say I haven't heard an album this great, maybe ever. Without a doubt, this is Mark Hollis"s finest effort and one for the ages at that. The only problem with this album is that it was 30 years ahead of it's time back in the late 80's.
