They include twelve Pulitzer Prize winners, three U.S. poet laureates, four MacArthur Geniuses, and authors of countless New York Times bestsellers. In celebration of this legacy, Bennington launched the Young Writers Awards to promote outstanding writing achievement at the high school level.

Young Writers Awards Winners. For 10 years, the Young Writers Awards has awarded cash and scholarships to the most promising high school writers worldwide. Submissions of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction have grown to nearly 7,000 per year.
