The Statler is a historically renovated former Statler Hotel high-rise in downtown Cleveland 's Theater District at Euclid Avenue and East 12th Street, and was converted into 295 apartments in 2001. [2] It is 192 feet (59 m) high and rises to 14 floors above the street. [3]

Cleveland's Hotel Statler (see STATLER OFFICE TOWER) was considered to be the first complete expression of the modern 20th-century hotel. The earliest inns in the region were typical 18th-century taverns, i.e., 2- or sometimes 3-story frame houses with public parlors and a kitchen on the ground floor and several bedrooms above.
