Light Asylum is a Brooklyn-based electronic music project from Shannon Funchess. Her music is heavily influenced by 1980s music and incorporates elements of darkwave, synthpop and post-punk. The Guardian compared Light Asylum to Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode.

LIGHT ASYLUM
LIGHT ASYLUM is the reverential EBM, darkwave, techno project of self-taught, multidisciplinary performance artist, founder, vocalist and producer Shannon Funchess. Founded in Brooklyn, New York in 2007, the project has toured extensively through Europe, Eastern Europe, North America and Scandinavia performing at nightclubs and festivals.
