Hace 13 horas · Did Petty really want to make such an easy, safe, unadventurous kind of music? Given how successful he was, you have to assume that he was satisfied by what he did. But I can’t help remembering those first two singles, ‘American Girl’ (1977) and ‘Anything That’s Rock’n’Roll’ (1978) which were anything but bland.
