The Quarrymen were effectively reborn on 29 August 1959 when they opened The Casbah. By the time The Beatles closed the club in June 1962, they had played there at least 44 times.

Located on Hayman’s Green, the club has been carefully preserved by the Best family, and is currently being furnished to include hotel suites upstairs, while maintaining the original club downstairs. As I continued my research for my first book, Liddypool: Birthplace of The Beatles, it became clear that I had to tell people, Beatles fans, about the Casbah Coffee Club. Brian Epstein and the Fab Four. Brian Epstein was a genius!
