23 de abr. de 2024 · In 1959 they played regular gigs at a club called The Casbah. They were joined by vocalist Stuart Sutcliffe, and by drummer Peter Best, whose mother owned The Casbah club. Early incarnations of the band included The Quarrymen, Johnny & the Moon Dogs, and The Silver Beetles.
I saw John a few times and he told me that they had got a drummer called Pete, which must have been Pete Best. After that I lost touch completely." (NOTE: The Quarrymen did not have a drummer for the rest of their existence; by the time Pete was added the band had already evolved into the Beatles. Pete Best was never a member of the Quarrymen.)
