Notes. From 1967 to 2016 the English musician David Bowie released twenty-six studio albums. The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars: First released in mid 1972 on RCA, throughout the RCA years there were two separate variants available (i.e. until about 1986) - the US version and the UK version. Two tracks differ.

He had previously toyed with loose thematic links, such as the meditations on madness in The Man Who Sold The World, or the pen portraits on the second half of Hunky Dory, but The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars was perhaps his most focused offering to date.
