Directed by Bryan Singer, the film is set in 1983, dealing with En Sabah Nur, an Ancient Egyptian mutant who awakens from millennia of slumber to take over the world and wrest control of the planet from humans. The film was released worldwide on May 27, 2016, to mostly mixed reviews, with the story and characters being given negative criticism.
