  1. Most of the time when I hear "why are you so quiet?" it's from genuine curiosity, normally by very talkative people who are legitimately curious - or by someone who might think you could be depressed and wants to know of something's wrong, etc.

  2. I'll contribute to the conversation when I have something to say. I'm so tired of explaining myself to new people I meet. Being quiet does not equal shyness, anti-social or any other 'negative' connotations you might think. The reason I am so quiet is because I like to be.
