Pluto is an American cartoon character created by the Walt Disney Company. He is a yellow-orange color, medium-sized, short-haired dog with black ears. Unlike most Disney characters, Pluto is not anthropomorphic beyond some characteristics such as facial expression. He is Mickey's pet.

Pluto originally appeared as a blood hound in 1930 in a short cartoon, and went on to become Minnie's pet "Rover", before finally taking residence with Mickey Mouse in 1931. Pluto has a girlfriend by the name of Dinah the Dachshund, and has a dislike for chipmunks following one disastrous encounter at Christmas!
