Elton John aceptó el guion propuesto escrito por Russell, el cual era una interpretación del amor entre un hombre y una mujer, describiendo el intento de un romance de una mujer guardia de frontera de Alemania Oriental con cabello rubio y corto.
Music video. The video for the song was directed by Ken Russell. John accepted the proposed script written by Russell which was a male–female love interpretation of the song, depicting his attempted romance of a blonde female East German border guard at a Berlin border crossing with short hair.
