She used 1/4 inch aluminum memory foil tape by Rangers which can be bought via Amazon or from any craft store which stocks it. The tape is self- adhesive. You can also use it for glass tile jewelry.

When it is on then rub your fingernail along all the edges and sides to make sure it is securely adhered. Now the fun part! Heat up your soldering iron and then brush some flux onto the copper.

She uses a scrap of leather to back and edge the broken china piece. She also demonstrates how to incorporate a simple wire bail into the back so the broken china piece can be hung as a pendant. Clever!
