I just did an A/B comparison with my first press Bearsville/WB copy and both are equally bass heavy at flat EQ levels. If anything, this Rhino press is a little clearer at the higher frequencies, most noticible on Todd's vocals.

  6. 7 de dic. de 2006 · When I bought the Something/Anything LP as a teenager, I made sure to get a copy with the lyric sheet/poster included. I wish the CD set did a better job of preserving these. The poster collage shows Rundgren in studio, but it also shows recording dates on calendar pages that reveal the organization and discipline required for studio production.

  7. Perhaps Todd Rundgren has made better (A Wizard, a True Star), more concise albums but it's hard to deny the considerable charms of Something/Anything. Although it might be easy to spot flaws across its 20+ tracks, it's undeniable how lovely, sohpisticated, melodious, listenable and replayable the overal experience is.
