He reintroduced Utopia in 1977 with the album Ra, altering the dynamic to a streamlined four-piece band, including bassist Kasim Sulton, keyboardist Roger Powell, and drummer John “Willie” Wilcox.
1 de may. de 2024 · Todd Harry Rundgren (born June 22, 1948) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer who has performed a diverse range of styles as a solo artist and as a member of the bands Nazz and Utopia.
I recommend the Mahavishnu Orchestra, their music is what inspired the first Utopia album. Todd saw them live and I can see how the loud, fast and chaotic fusion was a influence on “The Ikon” and “Utopia Theme”.
