"The Suspect" presents a unique, albeit heavy-handed, idea that feels (and looks) like it should only last as long as a 45 minute TV episode and stretches it into a feature length movie. Once the plot unravels and the audience is on board with what's happening, the genre switches to indie thriller and we get a brand new movie complete with a downer ending that was really kind of dumb.
