The Second Doctor is an incarnation of the Doctor, the protagonist of the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. He was portrayed by actor Patrick Troughton. 53 of his 119 episodes are missing.
The Second Doctor was the first incarnation to have his face integrated into the Doctor Who title sequence, beginning with The Macra Terror. Until Time Crash, the Second Doctor was the only incarnation to appear in all televised multi-Doctor stories.
