Street, Perse Girls was one of the pioneering foundations for girls’ education and has always been proud of its reputation as a centre of educational excellence for girls. Yet, in the early years of its history, the School admitted boys as well as girls in its Kindergarten.

The Perse School took girls for Sixth form only from 1994, began accepting girls at 11 and 13+ in September 2010 and was fully co-educational by September 2012. 'Perse' is a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference, an association of the leading UK independent schools.
Our Sixth Form began welcoming girls in 1995 and the school’s move to full co-education completed in 2012. During this time The Perse School for Girls became a separate entity, evolving into The Stephen Perse Foundation. The Perse School celebrated its 400th anniversary in the academic year 2015/16.
From the Perse School for Girls we have evolved to become the Stephen Perse Foundation. In more recent years we have grown, and we now provide a complete educational pathway for boys and girls from age 1 to 18. Our co-educational Sixth Form opened in 2008 and our Pre-Prep welcomed girls and boys to Madingley in 2010.
