This story takes place as a favor to Devine’s boss, when a friend’s CIA daughter is mysteriously murdered on a trip back home to take care of a matter for her somewhat estranged family.
The moniker “6:20 Man” refers to the Metro North train that Travis Devine would take to his job in New York City as a stock market analyst and all-around whiz. However, it isn’t long before Devine’s past life taps him on the shoulder and calls him back to duty.
The Edge is a 2002 young adult novel written by Alan Gibbons. The book tells the story of Danny Mangam, a teenage boy living in an abusive home. After Danny and his mother escape her abusive boyfriend, he also confronts a number of problems caused by his mixed ancestry.

A CIA operative has been killed and Devine is sent to investigate as to whether her death is related to her work at the CIA, or to her family's past.
