The Mausoleum of Hadrian, also known as Castel Sant'Angelo ( Italian pronunciation: [kaˈstɛl sanˈtandʒelo]; English: Castle of the Holy Angel ), is a towering rotunda (cylindrical building) in Parco Adriano, Rome, Italy. It was initially commissioned by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for himself and his family.
Address. Lungotevere Castello, 50. Timetables. Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9.00 to 19.30. (last admission 18.30). Closed on Mondays, 25 December, 1 January. Reservation is not mandatory but recommended on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. For reservation call Tel. 06 32810 - from Monday to Friday, from 9.30 to 18.00 or online.
