In the Twitter thread, scriptwriter and novelist Eddie Robson shares that in April 1963 Ringo needed a new set of drums, so he and Brian Epstein went to Drum City on Shaftesbury Avenue to get some.

It adorned Ringo Starr ’s drum kit from 1963, has since endured as The Beatles’ official marque, and was registered as a trademark by Apple Corps in the 1990s. But how did it come about?
The iconic "Drop-T" logo was designed by drum designer Ivor Arbiter, it was commonly seen in Ringo's drum-kit but it was also used in promotional material and other types of media. While The Beatles officially disbanded on April 10, 1970 (although Lennon left on September 20, 1969) the logo is still used in merchandise and old album's re-releases.
