The next time we see Thor, in 2012’s monumental The Avengers, he’s wearing an armor notably similar to the one designed by Bryan Hitch for 2002’s The Ultimates. This look is a little sleeker than one may be accustomed to seeing in an Asgardian sport.

Following The Avengers, 2013's Thor: The Dark World caught up with a more rounded and confident Thor, and his costume saw some minor upgrades to reflect this. Though the basis on the suit was the same as had been seen in Thor and The Avengers, pops of gold were added, particularly in the circular discs on his torso.

The Avengers is the dream team of superheroes, a group consisting of among others Iron Man, the Hulk, Captain America and Thor. The film is planned to premier in 3D in May of next year. Stellan Skarsgård confirms to TT Spektra that he will play the same role as in the upcoming Thor: Doctor Selvig.
