The group comprised vocalist Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham.With a heavy, guitar-driven sound, they are cited as one of the progenitors of hard rock and heavy metal, although their style drew from a variety of influences, including blues and folk music.
My modded Squier Affinity Jazzmaster I’m sure the inspiration is obvious. Installed a seymour duncan SH-5 and put a generic white cover on top. Custom pickguard from earlpilanz on ebay. Took a strat knob and stripped all the paint to make it blank white. Then I refilled and drilled new holes for the Fender USA hardtail bridge.

Fun fact: All electric guitar parts on Led Zeppelin I were performed on the Telecaster Jimmy Page used in The Yardbirds…except for one track. On “You Shook Me,” someone was trying to sell Jimmy a Gibson Flying V and he recorded the song with it.
