Hace 4 días · Yearly Mean Sunspot Numbers. ASWFC is often asked about historical sunspot numbers. The table below, available from the National Geophysical Data Center in Boulder (USA), lists the yearly values of sunspot number from 1700. MAX marks a sunspot cycle maximum and min a minimum.

The 22-year magnetic cycle was discovered in 1925 by the American astronomer George Ellery Hale.
