Stingy Jack O'Lantern, also known as Jack the Smith, Drunk Jack, Flaky Jack or Jack-o'-lantern, is a mythical character sometimes associated with All Hallows Eve while also acting as the mascot of the holiday. The "jack-o'-lantern" may be derived from the character.
Una calabaza de Halloween [1] [2] (en inglés, jack-o’-lantern) es una calabaza tallada a mano asociada a la festividad de Halloween. Su nombre en inglés, cuya traducción literal sería «el farol de Jack», proviene del fenómeno natural conocido como fuego fatuo.

Este trataba de un hombre borracho y tacaño pero muy astuto llamado Jack, que por intentar ser más listo que el Diablo pagó un alto precio.
