White plays Yamaha drums, Zildjian cymbals, Vic Firth sticks, Remo drum heads, and endorses Porter and Davis monitoring products. [citation needed] and Keo percussion products. White formerly managed artist Sam Gray and teaches for both Trinity Laban Conservatoire in Greenwich and Goldsmiths in New Cross.

Before moving to New York, Steven held a percussion position with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago for two seasons, where he worked closely with Chicago Symphony percussionists James Ross and Cynthia Yeh.
