Stanley "Stan" Shunpike (born c. 1975 [1]) was a wizard and was the conductor and helper of the Knight Bus. In 1996, he was arrested and sent to Azkaban for being a Death Eater when he was overheard claiming to have inside information about the organisation, although in all likelihood, he was only fooling around.
The conductor of the Knight Bus is a silly wizard named Stan Shunpike. Harry has traveled with Stan before (see Book 3), and Stan recognizes Harry happily. He tells Harry foolishly, "You keepin' well, then, 'Arry? I seen your name in the paper loads over the summer, but it weren't never nuffink very nice.
