At the heart of St. John’s is a liberal arts curriculum that is conceived as a coherent program of study, which immerses students in reading great books and in lively and unmediated conversation with one another.
Undergraduate Program. At the heart of St. John’s is a liberal arts curriculum focused on reading and discussing many of the greatest books and most important questions in history. This is perhaps the most distinctive undergraduate curriculum of any college in America.
The College Advantage Program at St. John’s University provides qualifying high school juniors and seniors with the opportunity to enroll concurrently in high school and credit bearing St. John’s courses at a cost of $325 per course, a deep discount from regular undergraduate tuition rates.
The St. John's College List of Great Books [1943; *St.John*], a rare volume prepared by the staff of the Enoch Pratt Free Library for the General Reader—it includes roughly 100 entries derived from the curriculum of St. John's College's famed "great books" program, which had only begun five years prior to this book's release;
