This new 2,568 cc (2.6 L) RB26DETT-powered all wheel drive concept was put into production as the R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R. The R32 developed 206 kW (280 PS; 276 hp) at 6,800 rpm and 260 lb⋅ft (353 N⋅m) of torque at 4,400 rpm, it had a curb weight of 1,430 kg (3,150 lb).

Introduced in 1989, the Skyline GT-R was a performance focused variant of the R32 Nissan Skyline. Commonly referred to as "Godzilla," the R32 GT-R saw a range of limited edition versions such as the Nismo , V-Spec I , and V-Spec II , but the base model was still an incredibly capable car.

It was rated 276 hp (the most allowed by a Japanese manufacturer at the time) but has always been rumored to make more. The horsepower peak is at 6800 rpm and the engine’s 266 lb-ft of torque occurs at 4400 rpm.
