Sidney Meltzer (May 22, 1917 – November 2, 2011), known professionally as Sid Melton, was an American actor. He played the roles of incompetent carpenter Alf Monroe in the CBS sitcom Green Acres and Uncle Charlie Halper, proprietor of the Copa Club, in The Danny Thomas Show and its spin-offs.

9 de nov. de 2011 · Sid Melton, a character actor who appeared on sitcoms "Make Room for Daddy" and "Green Acres" and in B movies, died of pneumonia on Nov. 2 in Burbank, Calif. He was 94. The actor, who was still busy with TV guest roles in the 1990s, also directed some films and met screenwriter Aubrey Wisberg in WWII.
