7 de may. de 2024 · Characteristics. Merino sheep are medium sized animals with very beautiful appearance. They can be either polled or horned. The polled version has no horns, or has a very small stubs, known as scurs. And the horned version has long and spiral horns, which grow close to the head.

The Royal White sheep was actually created by using the traits of St. Croix and Dorper sheep and then their negative traits removed via selective breeding over many years.

They may have from 2 to 6 horns, but most commonly have four. However, the Jacob sheep is not the only breed that can produce polycerate or piebald offspring.
