Sean Anderson has spent the past decade honing his moody, neutral aesthetic. Now that he’s mastered the look—with its aged finishes and rich palette of blacks and browns—the self-taught interior designer from Memphis, Tennessee is beginning to broaden his horizons.
Sean Anderson is an associate professor of architecture and director of the B.Arch. Program at Cornell, as well as an associate curator at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and a fellow of the American Academy in Rome. He has a P.h.D. in African Art History and has worked and taught in various countries and contexts, including Sri Lanka, India, and the United Arab Emirates.
