It tends to get busy between 6:30 and 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 and 8:00 p.m. These are considered rush hours and would typically imply at minimum 1-1.5 hour car rides from Miraflores to the airport. Check-In and Baggage Drop
From the airport to Miraflores or San Isidro and vice versa, it can take from approximately 40 minutes and at least double or even triple that time during peak hours. Rush hour is between 07:30 and 10:30 in the morning and 16:30 and 21:30 in the evening but build-ups can happen at any time of day.
12 de feb. de 2024 · Getting into the center of Lima takes about an hour most of the time but even longer during morning and evening rush hour. I don’t recommend going to Lima unless your layover is more than six hours.

It’s the fastest way to travel, though don’t be surprised if you get stuck in traffic. Lima turns into one giant traffic jam at rush hour, and advancing might be slow.
18 de feb. de 2021 · First, the city is sprawling: you'll need a taxi to travel between neighborhoods. Traffic is notoriously congested, so try to make car trips outside of rush hour. Second, in central Lima, and even in the wealthy suburbs, theft is not uncommon. Leave valuables in your hotel room and don't flaunt the ones you do take out.
