31 de dic. de 2016 · NEW YORK (AP) — F. Ross Johnson, the former RJR Nabisco CEO depicted as the epitome of corporate greed in the best-selling book and movie “Barbarians at the Gate,” has died. He was 85. The Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center in Jupiter, Florida, said Johnson died Thursday.
Ross Johnson was the President and CEO of RJR Nabisco at the time of the leveraged buyout and Henry Kravis was the managing partner at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. The leveraged buyout was in the amount of $25 billion, and the battle for control took place between October and November 1988.
