Hace 3 días · Produced by his Procol Harum bandmate Matthew Fisher, 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of Bridge Of Sighs, which is an album that I feel gets cruelly overlooked whenever classic 1970s records are being discussed. So it is fantastic to see Robin Trower ‘s epic second full length getting the deluxe treatment on its golden anniversary.
28 de abr. de 2024 · The first is the original 1974 album, given a 2024 remaster. The album opens with ‘Day Of The Eagle’, an uptempo blues rock number, a clear power trio influence (and a nod or two to Hendrix). A solid riff from the bass, allowing the guitar to solo over the top.
Hace 1 día · I’ve come back to this album many times in the ensuing decades, particularly the live album he released a few years later and never tire of Robin’s playing and particularly Jim Dewar’s great bass playing and sensational singing. And so to the 50th anniversary of Robin Trower’s 1974 album “Bridge of Sighs”.
