Personal life. Brydon was married to Martina Fitchie from 1992 to 2000. They had two daughters and a son. On 6 October 2006, Brydon married Clare Holland, a former producer on The South Bank Show, at Windsor church. They live in Strawberry Hill in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. They have two sons.

His father, Howard was a car dealer whereas mother Joy taught at school. She also did a lot of jobs in South Wales. He sharpened his comedy skill from his parents as he exalts his mother's sharpness and the jocularity from his father.
