The Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) is a conservatoire located in Manchester, England.It is one of four conservatoires associated with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.In addition to being a centre of music education, RNCM is one of the UK's busiest and most diverse [clarification needed] public performance venues.
Entrance requirements (4 years): All applicants must be at least 18 years of age on 31 December in the year of entry. All applicants must have passes at GCE A level (A2) in a minimum of two subjects at grade E or above, normally including music, and passes in three different subjects at GCSE level (grades A*-C/9-4) or acceptable equivalent.
If your performance ability is around ABRSM Grade 8 standard or equivalent, and you want to find out if conservatoire study at the RNCM is right for you, you can apply for an Advice Audition. These are available between January and June each year and cost £75 (£35 of which will be refunded if you apply for an entry audition within 12 months).
