10 de nov. de 2020 · On the morning of 3 June 1964 Ringo Starr collapsed with tonsillitis and pharyngitis during a photo session for the Saturday Evening Post newspaper in Barnes, south London.. He was taken to University College Hospital where he was ordered to rest completely. Unfortunately for him, The Beatles were due to begin their world tour in Denmark the following day, and it was too late to cancel.
Ringo Starr collapsed and was hospitalized on June 3rd 1964 with tonsillitis. Jimmy Nicol was hired as a temporary drummer so that the 1964 Australasian Tour could continue as planned. Ringo was temporarily cured, and made his way back to the group in Melbourne on June 14th. His tonsils were later removed in December.
