Belle married former NBA basketball player John Battle on June 25, 1991. The couple has four children together, two of whom are adopted: daughter Winter, and son Jayln [citation needed]. Pastor John S Battle III. Bishop Designate, Dr. John Sidney Battle, III was ordained in 1999 at Little Vine Baptist Church by Reverend R. L. Jones and was later appointed Associate Pastor and Youth Director. In 1999 – 2004, he also served as the Youth Pastor at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, his home church, in Washington D.C.
The couple has raised five children and blessed to have 4 grandchildren. Rev. John Battle serve as Senior Pastor and Belle, working along side of him as an ordained minister, First Servant and Minister of Music of their two churches: New Shield of Faith Worship Center in Atlanta, Georgia and Spread the Word Ministries in College Park, Georgia .
A 6' 2" (1.88 m) guard from Rutgers University, Battle was selected in the fourth round of the 1985 NBA draft by the Atlanta Hawks. He ended his career with 5,338 points. Battle had three nicknames: "J.B.," "Cricket," and "Pickle." Battle is married to R&B singer/recording artist Regina Belle.
