Appaloosas come in many different coat colours that players can encounter on the islands, unlock during events, or acquire through other means. There are three island exclusive coats: Grey Blanket, only obtainable from Mountain Island; Red Roan Blanket, only obtainable from Desert Island; and Black Leopard, only obtainable from Blizzard Island.

Marble (or LP Roan) Base colour is usually red or blue roan. At times described as bay, brown or black roan. Marbles usually have 'varnish' marks (darker patches.)

The following are representations of each color, reprinted by permission from the ApHC, with the exception of the Cremello/Perlino base coat.
