The main story focuses on a group of troopers known as Alpha Team – otherwise known as Razak's Roughnecks – who are headed back to Pluto after Operation Pest Control. After destroying Bug City on Pluto, SICON sights a giant Transport Bug. This reveals that the Bugs are not native to Pluto.
Lieutenant Jean Razak (August 11th, 2040 - September 24th, 2080) was a leader of the Roughnecks. He is based on Lieutenant Rasczak from the novel and Jean Rasczak from the 1997 film. Razak is a seasoned veteran who has been decorated ten times for meritorious service.
The Roughneck Two-Zero, or simply Roughnecks, is a Mobile Infantry unit that served in many battles against the Arachnids in the Bug Wars. The unit was originally lead by Lieutenant Jean Rasczak. After Lieutenant Rasczak's demise during Ambush at Whiskey Outpost, the unit is commanded by Johnny Rico, who later becomes a General.
Jean Rasczak is a combination of two characters from the novel: Jean V. Dubois, who was a Colonel and also a teacher of Juan's in History and Moral Philosophy, and Lieutenant Rasczak, the commander of the Roughnecks.
